You can ask Showgaze to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. This page explains what we can delete and how to request it. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes the rights you have under the Australian Privacy Principles.
How to request deletion
Email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". To help us find your information, please include:
- The name and/or email address associated with your contact with us.
- If your request relates to footage you uploaded, the event name or upload link, and the approximate date.
- If you contacted us through Facebook or Instagram, the handle or profile name you used.
We will confirm receipt and complete verified deletion requests within a reasonable time, and in any case within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request to protect your information.
What we can delete
- Contact and enquiry information — your name, email, and any details you shared when contacting us or applying to use Showgaze.
- Uploaded media — video and audio you contributed, along with its associated technical metadata.
- YouTube connection data — your connected channel details and stored authorization token.
- Messages and interactions — any data we obtained when you messaged or interacted with our Facebook Page or Instagram account (@showgaze.app), or used Facebook Login with our app.
Disconnecting YouTube
You can remove Showgaze's YouTube access immediately from your client dashboard under Settings → YouTube channel → Disconnect. This revokes our authorization and deletes the stored connection data. You can also remove access from your Google Account's third-party connections page.
Data obtained through Facebook & Instagram
If you interacted with Showgaze through Facebook or Instagram — for example by messaging us or commenting on a post — and you would like us to delete the information we received as a result, email [email protected] with the request. We will remove that data from our systems. You can also review and remove Showgaze's access to your account at any time in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Apps and Websites.
Things to note
- Some information may be retained where we are legally required to keep it, or to complete an event's post-production cycle under our agreement with the event organiser. We will tell you if this applies to your request.
- Footage you contributed to a specific event may have already been provided to that event's authorised organiser. We will delete our copies; the organiser is the controller of the copies provided to them.
